The Rose on Colfax: Mercy Housing Mountain Plains latest housing community for families:
The Rose on Colfax will be located at 1510 N. Valentia St., on the corner of Denver’s famed East Colfax Avenue. The building will consist of 82 affordable housing apartments and an early childhood education center that will serve families in the building and surrounding community.
The name — The Rose on Colfax — was the overwhelming community choice when we surveyed both the East Colfax Neighborhood Association and the East Colfax Community Collective.
Tupac Shakur’s poem, “The Rose that Grew from Concrete,” provides inspiring imagery for this new Mercy Housing community.
