Making Room for Families' Futures

Mercy Housing Mountain Plains recently oversaw the demolition of the old, abandoned strip club on Denver’s famed Colfax Avenue at 8315 E. Colfax Ave to make way for 82 new affordable family apartments and an early childhood education center to be operated by Mile High Early Learning.

We worked with The Colfax Museum to preserve awnings and signs from the past - including a hidden sign from the Famous Chef Restaurant that was on the site decades ago.

The site is now cleared, graded, and ready for the new building. Mercy will be completing some additional utility relocation work over the next few months as we prepare to start construction this fall. Stay tuned for updates.
