Denver’s housing crisis will not go away unless we act collectively. Increasing housing opportunities co-located with affordable childcare and education is our chance to make a difference in our city and get it right for families.


Mercy Housing has embarked on an important capital campaign to cover the cost of building the much needed, quality ECE Center on the ground floor of this mixed-use apartment community at 1500 N. Valentia ST., Denver, CO 80220


Mercy Housing is seeking $1,800,000 in capital
campaign investment for the ECE Center construction.

There are substantial incentives in investing in the ECE Center:

  • The Child Care Contribution Tax Credit provides a valuable tax credit against a taxpayer’s Colorado state income tax. The credit equals 50% of the amount of a contribution.

  • The E. Colfax site is in a Federal/State designated Opportunity Zone, so that investment dollars can reduce and defer capital gains taxes for individuals and organizations.

When we listen, we are inspired to innovate. We are forming this new collaboration because we must drastically increase our capacity while coordinating our services, to truly support families in breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.  We invite you to join us in making this vital community resource a reality.
